Hillesvåg Vilje yarn is a fantastic type of yarn
The yarn is spun from Norwegian wool C1 Fine, 28 microns. This means that only the finest fibers from Norwegian white sheep can be used in the production of Vilje wool yarn. The wool is Nordic Ecolabeled and has a fantastic pile and elasticity. This makes this fiber suitable for airy, soft and light carded yarns.
Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk has placed increased environmental focus on the use of dyes in our production. We mark this by only using GOTS-approved dyes in our color range for Vilje. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) requires that dyes are biodegradable and non-toxic. The finished product must not contain allergens or residues of hazardous chemicals. GOTS-approved dyes are permitted in organic production of yarn and textiles.
In addition to being of good quality, the wool is also environmentally friendly. It is manufactured in Hillesvågen, which is a half-hour drive north of Bergen in Norway. You are therefore not only buying a beautiful product, but also an environmentally friendly one, as it is manufactured as climate-friendly as possible. Hillesvåg yarn is therefore both good quality and climate-friendly, and it is therefore a good type of yarn to use for various projects where you need some yarn that is soft and nice to have close to the skin, while at the same time you can think that it is an environmentally friendly type of yarn.
