Trane ribbed sweater
Trane is a ribbed sweater that is knitted from the top down. First, the back piece is knitted back and forth while increasing for slanted shoulders. Then stitches are knitted up along the shoulders and each front piece is knitted separately with openings for the neck. A stitch is cast on in the middle of the front and the front pieces are then knitted together. Pick up the stitches under the sleeves on the same needle, knit the bodice in the round and finish with a purl. Sts are picked up for sleeves and these are first knitted back and forth with double pointed needles to the top of the sleeves, and then around. The neckline is knitted at the end.
