My Finnish sweaters

Nine top Finnish designers give their take on Finnish sweaters in this beautiful book. In the predecessor, Mine Icelandic sweaters, the classic Icelandic lopapeysa was interpreted. This time the designers have been on a journey of discovery in their own homeland. They brought back knitting designs in which Finnish nature can be seen, heard, felt and smelled – forests, lakes, bogs and mountains, meadows and cornfields, shapes and colours, light and shadows, sounds and silence. We see and hear the echo of history and traditions, can feel the soft warmth of the wool and smell the familiar scent.

My Finnish sweaters contains 18 models for both women, men and children, and the recipes are graduated in several sizes. You get recipes for a number of sweaters, an open top, a slipover and a skirt. Two of the recipes also contain instructions for plant dyeing, while a third recipe shows you how to weave your own edging in the traditional Finnish way.
