Storm sweater
Storm sweater is knitted from top to bottom with structured knitting. First, knit the back, which is shaped with a double-pointed needle to form a shoulder slope. Then stitches are gathered up to the shoulders, which are gathered at the front for the front piece. The front and back are gathered under the armhole and form the body, which is knitted straight down. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. A ribbed edge is knitted in the neck, folded over and knitted down. The Storm Sweater is knitted with structured knit, which consists of four different pattern segments.
Make a knitting test before you start to measure the knitting strength - note that the knitting strength in both height and width must match, so that the measurements given on the front will fit. You can make a knitting test according to the diagram in the pattern.
Size guide
Storm Sweater should have some movement (positive ease)ย of approximately 26 cm in the smallest sizes but progressively smaller in the larger sizes. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a chest measurement measured on your own body of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 ( 100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Note: These measurements only apply if the knitting tension is observed. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If, for example, you measure 90 cm around the chest (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A sweater in size S has an excess of 116 cm and, in the example mentioned, will provide room for movement (positive ease) of 26 cm.
