Knitting fastness
10 cm plain stockinette needle 3.5 mm = 22 stitches
10 cm pattern knitting needles 4 mm = 22 stitchesMost people knit tighter on patterns than they do when they knit plain stockinette. I have therefore included in the recipe that you should go up half a needle size when you knit the pattern. Knitting firmness varies from person to person and always knit a test piece before you start. If you get more stitches than stated on 10 cm, go up one needle size. If you get fewer stitches than stated on 10 cm, go down one needle size.
