Neversocks 394-1

Never socks are knitted from the shaft down to the toe, without knitting the heel, which is knitted right to the end. It is knitted in an auxiliary thread where the heel should be before you knit the foot further. The auxiliary thread is then pulled out, the stitches are placed on the needles and the heel is cast off in the same way as the toe.
