The designer behind Móakot is Margrét Halldórsdóttir, and she prefers to knit her design in thin yarns such as einband and plate yarn.
Margrét makes some really nice sweaters. Most are made in the Icelandic yarn Einband, which means that the sweaters are not thick and warm like traditional Icelanders.
If you've seen a recipe you'd like, let us know. Then we get it home as soon as possible.

The creative Finnmarker, Christina Gjertsen, is behind Slow Knitwear. She is both a photographer and a self-taught graphic designer, and creates recipes with nature and traditions in mind. Slow Knitwear was created in 2017, and the first recipe that was launched was Astrid Genser, named after her grandmother in Finnmark.
Hanne Rimmen grew up in Northern Jutland, close to water and nature. Since then, she has lived in Sweden for several years, and has been surrounded by the beautiful Swedish handwork tradition and classic folklore, which has further developed her style and sense of patterns.
Her designs are often based in nature and in the Nordic patterns and motifs, whose traditional look and special stories she tries to retell in a new age.
