Arctic summer Polar

The recipe for arctic summer was first published in Villmarksgensere 2 from 2020.
I have made a thick version for colder days. The sweater is knitted in Alafosslopi, but you can use other yarns such as Troll or Blåne.

The sweater is knitted round and round, from the bottom up. Body and sleeves are knitted separately before joining
on needle when the yoke is to be knitted. Arctic summer polar is a thick and good sweater that can
knitted as a sweater with a low or high neck. Arctic summer Polar should have a range of movements on
between 10-15 cm. Measure around the chest and add 10-15 cm to the outer width of the garment to find your size. Enjoy the knitting!

Size S (M) L (XL) XXL

Knit strength
10 cm stockinette stitch on needles 6 mm=13 stitches
10 cm pattern knit on needles 7 mm = 13 stitches
(The indicated needle size is a guide only. If you get more stitches than indicated on
10 cm, go up one needle size. If you get fewer stitches than indicated on 10
cm you go down one size. Pay attention to the knitting strength of the pattern).

Yarn: Alafosslopi

Yarn alternative: Troll and/or Blue fur wool yarn from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.
These yarns are slightly thinner than Alafosslopi, so you may need to increase
pin size by 0.5 mm from the stated. Always knit a knitting test before you begin.

Circular knitting needles 40 cm. 4.5, 6 and 7 mm
