Lulu Slipover Junior is knitted from the top down. The slipover has a deep armhole and closes at the sides with two buttons. First knit the back and then the front piece. Ribbed edges are knitted along the sleeve opening, and double-knitted edges are knitted along the sides, which form a slit downwards. In the front of these double-knit edges, knit two buttonholes. Finally, a ribbed edge is knitted in the neck.

Lulu Slipover Junior should have room to move (positive ease) of approx. 20 cm in relation to the chest measurement.
Sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-11) 11-12 (12-14) years corresponds to a chest measurement of approximately 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (75) 78 (82) cm.
The measurements of the finished slipover are indicated on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the knitting tension is observed).
If you/the recipient, for example, measures 57 cm around the chest, you should knit a size 4-5 years. A slipover in size 4-5 years has an excess width of 77 cm and in the example mentioned will provide room for movement (positive ease) of 20 cm. If the measured chest measurement differs from the age guide, you should be aware of adapting the lengths to the person you are knitting for. The same applies if the child is shorter/taller than average.
