Esther jacket

The Esther jacket is knitted from the top down.

Sent in physical form.

Esther jacket

Esther jacket is knitted from top to bottom with structured knitting. First, the upper part of the back is knitted with increases. The shoulders are then knitted from the collected stitches at the top of the back piece. The body is knitted back and forth. The sleeves are knitted in the round on a circular needle from the gathered stitches at the sleeve opening. Finally, knit buttonholes and ribbing in the neck.

Knit a knitting test to find the needle size that gives you the right knitting strength. You can make a knitting test according to the diagram in the pattern.

Size guide

The Esther jacket should have room for movement (positive ease) of approx. 24 cm in the smallest sizes but progressively smaller in the larger sizes. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a chest measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished jacket are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the chest (or the widest part of the body), you should knit a size S. A jacket in size S has an excess width of 114 cm and in the mentioned example will provide room for movement (positive ease) of 24 cm.
